GE Water Heaters - How You Can Save Money on
Your Utility Bills
Ge Hot Water Heater
GE
water heaters are
one of the leading models in this industry. General Electric was the first
company to announce water heaters that meet new DOE ENERGY STAR standards. The
DOE's new ENERGY STAR program, for heat
pump water heaters and tankless
water heaters, is the General Electric was one of the few participants
during the criteria-development process, so consumers can feel quite safe when
buying their models.
The
GE
Hybrid Electric Water Heater and GE
Tankless Gas Water Heater are the latest in a line of GE appliances
designed to improve energy efficiency in the home. GE Hybrid Electric Water
Heaters provide the same hot water that homeowners are used to but at half the
energy required by traditional models. GE's innovative SmartShield? Sensor
System incorporated into their new line of gas water heaters is designed to
provide additional safety. All the new GE
gas water heaters are tankless, because no tank means there is no need to
spend energy on maintaining the temperature of the water 24x7. With instant GE
gas water heaters, the water heats up on demand, or in other words, only you
start using the hot water, and immediately de-activates when you are done.
The GE Hybrid Heat Pump
Water Heater Will Cut Your Heating Bills by Half
The
new GE
Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater is a combination of a heat pump and
an electric tank water heater. A heat pump is a highly efficient, eco friendly
device that can be used in both space heating and water heating. It heats water
by extracting heat from the surrounding air and transferring the heat to water
in a tank. It does not create heat but simply moves the heat from the air to
the water. The heated refrigerant is then pumped through a compressor.
Compression of the refrigerant intensifies the heat, causing the refrigerant to
vaporize. As the hot vapour circulates through the coils its heat is
transferred to the water. In practical terms, it will cut your water heating
bills by half.
This
how to install water heater is designed to be an easy replacement for your
old electric water heater. Actually the heat pump itself uses very little
electricity. Electricity is only used when the backup heating elements are
activated. You can use the "high demand mode" to activate the heating
elements when you need sufficient hot water for a large group of overnight
guests.

These are some great heater tips. I just recently purchased a waterless heater and have had no issues. I don't know how safe I would feel if I installed it myself though.
